i love fics set shortly but not immediately after final victor, after ratio goes "what the hell is his problem?!" but before he becomes the guy aventurine trusts to pull off a double indemnity gambit. when they've figured out they work well together and are just starting to get weirdly preoccupied with each other. the sexual tension is off the charts, but one of them doesn't realize it yet and the other is doing it on purpose but deliberately not thinking too hard about it. What Could Go Wrong. they haven't yet had their italicized "oh," but the audience can clearly see the trainwreck they're hurtling toward in the distance.

a lot of fics are set after that, when one or both have realized their feelings, which makes sense as a starting point for the romantic payoff of a confession. but when they're already conflicted over their feelings, they're often trying to recapture that stretch of time where they worked so well together because they hadn't realized yet - and that's the stretch of time i love to see explored.

show me how natural and easy it was before they got self-conscious and started to self-sabotage. show me that idyll that they're trying so desperately to return to.

Given my overall headcanons for Kohari, I fully believe she taught this barrier to Iruka, swearing him to utmost secrecy as she did. Not even Ikkaku knew they could use it. This barrier is how he managed to take a fuma straight to the spine and not end up fucking paralysed - he passes it off as just being lucky, which nobody questions because luck is the name of the game as a shinobi, but really he used the barrier to protect his spine, causing the fuma to slide off and lodge itself to the side of the column instead

Still a terrifying back wound that could've had dire consequences and causes him chronic pain and limits what stretches and movements he can do, but no longer as bad as it would've been had he not made the split second activation

Building on this post where I bring up how Doc and Bull both working construction in Louisiana after the war, what if when the boys of Easy Company decided to break off from the formally organized reunions to hold a separate reunion of their own, just for men of Easy Company (and others maybe), Gene never gets an invite. They sent him one, but maybe it was lost in the mail or was sent to the wrong address or maybe they just forgot.

Gene tries not to take it to heart, like he was never able to be super close with them being a medic and all, so he just kinda throws himself into his work and tried to cope with losing the last tie he had to that part of his life. Meanwhile the Easy Company boys are obviously missing their Doc.

But Imagine Bull's surprise when he spots Doc on one of his job sites, casually leaning against his pick up truck with a small smirk. They catch up outside of work and you can bet that Bull dragged him to the next reunion.

Hello Anon 🖤 Ty for the ask. I've actually answered this in this post for III and IV. I'd be happy to go over it again for you here and include II more. I'll be honest, the majority of the time they've been on stage, the three band members have worn literally the same sort of clothes, and it doesn't help that they all have blue eyes either lol. It gets easier eventually, I promise. This might sound odd, but you'll soon start to recognize cheekbones, hand veins, eye shape, and overall mannerisms that the Eepy guys have.

Some quick tells are: II - Drums, double scythe necklace, black painted nails, cola/redbull stains on his mask, short king III - Bass, checkered socks, man bun, stage right, long boi IV - Guitar, black paint stains on his mask (from Vessel's kisses and his own fingers), jewelry, stage left, also a short king

Something I didn't mention in the first post is that there is a single scythe necklace that's been passed around between Vessel, III, and IV. Most recently that necklace has been worn by IV but I wouldn't count it as a valid indicator unless you know who was in possession of the necklace at the time the photo was taken. Rings, on the other hand, could be a valid indicator. I've only ever seen Vessel and IV wearing rings on stage (if I am wrong about this, someone please correct me).

Something I did mention in the other post (and is quite honestly one of my favorite ways to tell the Eepies apart) is utilizing Vessel as a measuring stick.

If the Eepy guy is taller than Vessel, you have a III.

If the Eepy guy is shorter than Vessel, you have a II or IV.
